    Ineffective

I've had two of these set up for weeks, with no results. All they seem to do is attract more mice, because there are more droppings in the area, and still no mice in the traps. Put a conventional trap right next to these two days ago, and have caught two mice in the conventional trap already. These smart traps are a complete waste of money.

    Hello Can Fan,
The Fast Set mouse trap is a highly effective trap and has the strongest spring available on the market for quick, humane kill. You did not mention if you used a bait or what kind of bait you used or how it was applied to the trap. Perhaps you could contact us at pthg.consumerinfo@premiertech.com so that we can trouble shoot the problem for you. Thank you WilsonHomeGardenProducts

    Simple, clean, and effective

Heard a mouse in the dropped ceiling two nights in a row and put one of these traps up there, from the utility room where the ceiling is open. Two days later it had trapped. Put another one up there and caught a second mouse today. These are simple to use, load with a bit of peanut butter and set the trap, and clean to discard since the mouse is inside. I bought some more, I like these. Next I'll have to find where the mice are getting into the house but that might be difficult.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Useless

I bought 2 packs of these thinking that, though expensive, it would be worth it not have to hear the snapping of the trap in the middle of the night or have to deal with the occasional escapee horror scene. It was not to be. For over a week I had the 4 traps on the kitchen floor remain empty. Into the garbage they went. Over 3 days I caught 9 mice in conventional traps. I still have nightmares about the "one that got away-sortof" but the mice are gone!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hello Sugar spun. We are sorry to hear that you did not have luck with the Predator Smart Trap. Did you do a test first to make sure that the spring mechanism worked ok? Also it is very important to have the trap placed correctly and firmly against the wall that would be a part of the straight line path from nest to food. And of course, make sure that there is bait in the trap. If there is another easily accessible food source for the rodents they may take a bit of time to decide to go into this trap. I have had absolutely no luck with these traps. I bought another type of trap made by the same manufacturer and they work wonderfully. Definitely not worth the money!!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good - but not quite as good as I thought

I gave this 5 stars on a previous review. That was before I realized the mouse was not in fact dead. It is not easy to tell. I will still use it. But I will put it in a bucket of water for 5 minutes before throwing it out.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 2 of 2 Questions

Q: When I opened the box of 2 traps, they were both set already. The area under the "set' arrow was yellow, and I didn't have to rotate it. Is that normal? I just want to make sure that they are set properly.

A: Hello Debb, Usually when the traps are shipped they are in the not "set" position. If it is in the "set" position and the arrow was yellow then it is indeed "set". If you want to make sure, you can turn the trap over and push in the yellow button which would re-set the trap to "not set", then you can turn it to "set". Thank you

Q: How do you reset the trap I have the trap but it is on the not set portion how do I reset

    1 Answer
    • A: Here are the directions for Use: 1. Baiting: To open, rotate bait door on bottom of trap. Place cheese or peanut butter in the bait compartment and rotate door to close 2. Setting: Holding trap steady, rotate top of station so arrow points to “SET”. 3. Placement: • Identify areas where rodents are present. Look for fresh droppings, nests or points of entry. • Remove alternative food sources from affected areas. • Gently place trap along wall with flat edge against the wall, interrupting the rodent’s natural path of travel. The rodent should be able to enter from either side. For best results, place traps every 4 to 6 feet in areas of heavy infestation. 4. Disposal: Check trap frequently. When the arrow is pointing to “TRAPPED”, you can dispose of entire trap. Note: If trap is accidentally set off, the arrow will point to “NOT SET”. Follow the directions above to reset
