I prefered the old version

I prefered the old version were the blades are more and much closer to each other wich give more swift and deep shaving

Abysmal shave for a new product.

This 3000 model had " NOT " been a good purchase. After 5 minutes of shaving the ammount of stubble left over is incredible considering the unit and blades are brand new. My older model STILL does a 100% better job with years old blades than this new month old model. Poor Shave !!!!!

Reliable product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My recently purchased Model 3000 Norelco shaver performs reliably and without problems. I now prefer this single unit shaver with the shaver head enclosed in the body. I still have my Norelco 5000 shaver which has a higher speed shaver head and swiveling/detachable shaver head. However, this more advanced model suffers from the shaver head falling off when pressed snugly against parts of my face, such as under my chin. I am thus happier with my less fancy Model 3000. It is sturdier and always gets the job done.

  • A: According to the Philips Canada website the 3000 series (HQ6996) has automatic voltage handling capabilities of 100-240V. If the device has an automatically switching transformer then it is preferable to NOT use an external voltage regulator.

Q: re:shaver in flyer I have been to 3 different stores and none have these shavers. Why put them on special if you don't have them. I was there Friday morning so don't think they were sold out already.
