Q: Will this work to repair a vinyl pool liner?  We have the patch but need a glue that withhold under water.

    • A: To fix a leak in a pool you will need a special glue for under water. I don’t think this glue will work. See a pool salesperson.

Q: Will this hold in high temperatures. Have a small pizza oven that sits on top of a bbq. Need to re-glue the stone the back stone to the metal. Do you think this would hold it? Temperatures in the oven would be higher than 500 Fahrenheit.

    • A: Hello Teresa, thank you for your question regarding the temperature range of Permatex Contact Cement. Unfortunately this contact cement will only remain stable up to about 150 degrees Fahrenheit. It is recommended that you search for a high-temperature tile cement. Thank you.

Q: Will this work on attaching velcro to aluminum and stand up to direct summer sun. Want to use this on a hardtop camper using it to attach velcro side canvas to aluminum body. Any other adhesive becomes soft in direct sunlight and velcro does not stay on..

    1 Answer
    • A: Contact Cement would be a good choice. The only issue is the continual exposure to the elements that could break down the bond over time but if applied and let cure in favorable conditions, it should hold for some time.

Q: will this contact cement work on neoprene?

    1 Answer
    • A: Yes contact cement can be used on neoprene. There are specialized products that fuse/weld neoprene. This product will bond neoprene pieces but will not fuse/weld.
