The Permatex Bullseye Windshield Repair Kit is the first one-component windshield repair system designed to be used by the car owner. It can be used to make air-tight repairs of bullseye damage up to 1 1/4-in in diameter on most laminated windshield glass. This all-in-one kit is safe and easy to use and requires no mixing and no heat.

For use between 10 and 24 degrees Celcius only

Had to open the package in order to find out that the product can only be applied in temperatures between 10 and 24 degrees Celcius. Would have been nice to not have to purchase and open the item in order to find this out.

Hello Jawad, it is important to note that the Permatex Bullseye repair kit is intended for use to repair chips and bullseyes in windshields up to 3cm only and not to be used on windshield cracks. It is also vital to follow the step by step instructions that are included in each package to ensure for accurate use and best results should the repair be performed on a 3cm or less star bullseye or chip. It was about 6C outside. I keep the vehicle running during the process with the windshield vent on maximum heat. Followed the directions. During the compression process I put a lighter to the inside of the windshield to draw more resin in. At about the 20 minute mark of compression it did spring a leak but the chip was already satisfactorily filled. Finished the full 30 minutes of compression. It was dark outside already for the curing process so used a black light to assist
in the curing. The trick in getting a smooth finish is scrape the resin close to the impact zone and then turn the blade 90 degrees vertical and scrape the rest off. It filled the chip to a satisfactory result

When using the Permatex Bullseye Windshield Repair Kit it is important to consider the scope of the repair in terms of the size of the chip, star or bullseye and that the intent is for the product to repair and prevent further expansion. However, if the size of the damage to the windshield is greater than 3cm, the product may not work/will not work as expected. Thank you

A: I actually fixed two in one day. You only have 0.7 mL so don't be wasteful and load too much in at once. I found that repeating the syringe steps twice gave me a good fill and if it's not sunny the stuff won't set.

A: Probably not. The epoxy relies upon the suction created by the syringe under the applicator pad to spread throughout the crack. If the crack spreads beyond the edge of the pad, it will likely seep out of the crack or draw air into the syringe. This kit is designed for small stone chips that can be covered by the applicator.

A: I think it will only work for a chip because the piece that sticks to the window isn’t that big and you can only use it once

Q: I fixed cracked glass but it’s visible too much on top of it and unable the remove excess of it. How do I remove dried excessive glue from it? Thanks

A: Hello Angela, thank you for your question. The excess adhesive can be removed by using the edge of the supplied Safety Razor to gently scrape away rough spots.
