Moisture reading is good, pH & light are hit &miss

I have had several potted tropical hibiscus plants for many years. They live outside on my sunny deck in the spring/summer/fall. I cut them back in the fall and overwinter them inside. I use this gadget in the winter to check the moisture in the soil so I won't over water them. It works great for this. I don't use the other functions (pH level, light) which is just as well because they seem very hit and miss.
Overall I'm satisfied with this meter. It's a good moisture meter at a good price if that's what you need. But if I had to regularly measure pH or light levels I'd look elsewhere for something that reads those things more reliably.
