According to your website, the tub drain kit is supposed to fit industry standard 1 1/2" drains. This is not the case as when I tried to install, it was too wide and would not fit in the drain shoe. I measured the width of your tub drain and it measured at 1 7/8". I need this in 1 1/2" width.

The 1-1/2” threads refers to the threaded part that installs into the drain shoe. The drain seat included with the Moen T90331ORB Push-N-Lock tub drain kit with 1-1/2” threads is 2-13/16” when measured from edge to edge. If the currently installed drain shoe has 1-1/2” threads, you can use the Moen T90331ORB Push-N-Lock tub drain kit with 1-1/2” threads. Moen product specialists are available for pre-purchase, installation, and warranty assistance; please feel free to contact us directly.

I bought this to replace a drain cover that had corroded and faded. The difference between the two products is noticeable just by feeling the sturdiness of the MOEN product. The lifetime guarantee on the finish is the best thing about this
