Excellent for a variety of hassle free meals

This is the first rice cooker I have ever owned and I am very pleased with the product. Never will I cool rice in anything but a rice cooker ever again! Rice texture is amazing and always perfectly cooked, but the best part is that you can cook full meals in it. You can add meat, beans, vegetables, sauces, flavours etc. to your rice and have a full balanced meal without slaving over the stove. I love that this model has multiple functions like reheat, slow cooker, and sautee. Satuee is great to prp ingredients, add flavour, or achieve the texture you want before making a rice based meal or using the slow cooker function. you can avoid dirtying another pan which is great for low maintenance meal prep. In terms of the other reviews, I did find the instructions a little confusing at first, but pretty quickly figured it out, and upon rereading the instructions, I don't think anything critical is missed. I also didn't have any issues with spillage, though you will want to use it under an exhaust fan to avoid buildup of consensation, (no different than steam from a boiling pot), and there is a small drip tray of sorts on the right side near the handle that catches some of the consendation. You can avoid a mess by emptying it after each use or as needed. All in all, if you're looking for a nice rice cooker and also wanting to consolidate some of your other small kitchen appliances, this is a great option.

When cooking rice the units bubbles out of the vent a gets water and rice residue all over the place. The thing just keeps puking over and all over the place. It looks good and easy to use but be prepared do a deep clean where ever it is sitting.

Does what it says with issues

I rated a 3 because the manual instructions are not clearly outlined. There's a rough and I mean very rough outline for cooking. If you didn't want to steam rice, but cook it like using a pot or simple rice cooker, 5 stars, but not clearly outlining steaming makes rice uncooked or mushy we haven't found a good in-between yet.
