A: The unit does not have a self cleaning function. (The self cleaning function simply turns off the refrigeration system and circulates water through the unit).

A: You can flush the unit with a mixture of 10% white vinegar and water. Do not use any type of abrasive materials on the evaporator fingers.

A: The ice basket & compartment (where ice cubes are kept after they are produced) is not refrigerated. It is recommended that ice produced be periodically transferred to zipper lock type bags for storage in your regular freezer. The water that results from ice in the basket melting is recycled and used to make new ice.
