Leaky lid

First, the mug is too big to comfortably fit my hand, something I should have considered when purchasing. More importantly, upon fill up each time, I tip it into the sink and the liquid spills out through the top, every time! It has too be quite tight which could be a problem with arthritis etc., and it still comes through the air hole. I don’t understand. On the positive side it does keep liquid hot for much longer than the Manna thermos I bought last year.
