My Dogwood babies, why are the leaves turning brown?

My 4 month old Dogwood babies, have leaves turning brown, what to do? It was suggested that a fungicide be tried, well in less than a week my babies are looking great. I thank the Doktor for saving my babies they will grow to be trees.
