Daughters were surprised the hockey barbie is unable to hold a hockey stick that came with the product. It's pretty much going to collect dust now. Bad design.

I bought the Barbies for the hockey helmet. My daughter plays lacrosse (box and field) and there's zero Barbie lacrosse stuff available. I thought I could adapt the helmet and make lacrosse gear. (Hey, with the lacrosse sixes being in the 2028 summer games, maybe now is the perfect time to roll out a line of lacrosse Barbies ;⁠) ) I bought one each of the blonde PWHL Barbie and the WOC PWHL Barbie. This morning my daughter and I opened the blonde one. Once we had her unboxed, the first thing my daughter (8) said is "oh, she can't even hold the stick". If hands that could grip the stick weren't an option, maybe hockey gloves that could would have been a good accessory. My daughter also tried to bend the stick blade so it would be right-handed. She was excited to see that Barbie has "regular feet", as she called them, and remarked that she had never seen a Barbie with "regular feet" before. My critiques are about the hair and the helmet: the hair looks like it was hastily chopped by toddler safety scissors and the helmet is front-heavy. It needs to be very carefully positioned and then the doll not moved for it to not fall down over her eyes. All that aside, we're still very pleased with the dolls. Our city got a team starting this season and we already have tickets to go to a game. I'm always happy to see women and Canada represented.
