It’s a steel bin, with charcoal filter, does what it should. The lid fits excellent, not tight or loose. Read reviews with bottoms having holes, bad smells etc…..not sure what people are doing to damage the product and if you empty it daily with a quick rinse it will never smell. It’s a metal compost bin and works as it should.
