Good

It's a real cast iron pan and has no toxic, non-stick Teflon coating. The quality is good and I got this while on sale, so the price was great as well.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: if its pre-seasoned.....y do i need to season it again like others are saying in the review section

  • A: The grainy surface needs to be sanded off! No doubt a lot of people haven't done this and this is the reason things are sticking so badly. A smooth *seasoned* pan is virtually non stick. It's not only this pan or Lagostina, any pan with this surface needs to be removed.I'm returning mine. I'm not going to buy more things to prepare the surface and have to sand it down!

Q: Can it be used on a ceramic cooktop?

  • A: Not recommended. If it is a glass top stove it will most likely scratch it. These pans are heavy enough to crack your stove top if dropped. I'd use something else. Stainless Steel might be best.

Q: I used my 10" pan today for the first time to fry 2 eggs I even put in a little veg oil and wiped it out. But the eggs stuck so bad I had to clean the pan with a metal egglifter and could not get it all out so now I am wondering what to do next.
