Adapts to size - pull out to extend width - and can select shelf height. Would have liked to have had the option of another inch between bottom and top as some things won’t fit so am having to use top shelf instead, but overall am very pleased. Sturdy quality and am using one under my kitchen sink and another for main bathroom
