I purchased this to replace an old and much loved paper towel holder that was damaged / broken. The old one had a large top that you had to screw on / off to load the paper towel. Although that kept the paper towel in place, it was a bit of a pain to replace the paper and was actually the reason the old one broke. The new one is just as simple and beautiful, but dropping a paper towel roll on with no fuss makes me happy every time.
