The Vermont Castings Cooking Grill & Fire Pit combines full grill and fireplace functionality into one versatile 2-in-1 unit. Designed with efficient airflow, it pulls outside air through bottom vents to ignite the fuel, guiding air through a hollow wall to create a vibrant secondary flame that consumes residual smoke. This low-smoke design is perfect for grilling or relaxing by the fire, bringing warmth and convenience to any outdoor space.

Smoke reduction air-flow venting system in Deep Fire mode helps remove excess smoke from reaching your clothes, eyes and neighbour’s yard

Paint peels almost immediately

First fire using pellets the paint around ring insert started flaking. Ember screen started warping around top.
Only filled 1/4 of max amount for first burn.
This is not the quality expected from Vermont Castings.
Going to return
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Dear Mike, we would like to help answer your question thoroughly. There are ventilation holes in the Ash Pan, Part B, as well as in Burner Bowl, Part A, which assist in releasing smoke while in use. When the wood burns, a pressure difference is created and the smoke will directly escape from the bottom as long as the holes are not blocked. We hope we answered your question.
