Definitely recommend, however the assembly is a bit clunky.

Overall a great fire table. Assembly was slightly awkward (a few screws had to be loosened from previous steps in order to complete future steps). I wish the lid sit just a *tad* more flush to the table (mine sits a bit crooked), and you need to be careful to not touch the bottom of the fire bowl with your hand when closing the propane tank underneath, but that's a small trade off to have the tank contained within the unit. Would recommend.

Poor quality

Tried three times to get a product that wasn’t damaged, no luck. I don’t recommend this product. Also, Canadian Tire was not easy to deal with for the returns. They said the box was opened. How else could I tell if it was damaged?I had to put it together and I can’t see through the box.

Q: What is the width of the rim around the fire pit (the fire pit is 15.5" diameter)? For example, can you place a dinner plate on the rim around the fire pit or is it not wide enough?

Q: Can this be placed on a wood deck?

A: KCkc, Yes, it may. Here are a few additional placement clearance requirements: The unit must be used in a very well ventilated area, this means it cannot be used indoors or in an enclosed space. It is perfectly safe to put the unit on a real wooden surface, concrete, a rock surface or stone as long as the surface is flat and leveled. As an added safety precaution, when using this unit on an acceptable surface, you may place a heat resistant mat underneath the unit or most hardware stores will also carry heat resistant tile. The unit must be kept at least 10 feet away from all combustible materials on all sides of the unit and must at least have a 4ft clearance from any surrounding wall or surface. It must also have a minimum clearance of 6 feet above the unit starting at the table top portion of the unit. Please note that placing this under overhanging trees and shrubs is not recommended.
