ThermoPro TP30W Infrared thermometer gun is a non-contact infrared thermometer that can measure highly accurate surface temperatures. With a 12:1 DISTANCE SPOT RATIO, farther away the target, larger the test spot area will become. This IR thermometer gun has an adjustable emissivity setting (0.1 to 1.0) which makes this thermal leak detector optimal for measuring the temperature of any object or material. A built-in laser pointer allows for maximum accuracy when aiming at targets.

All the promotional reviews are misleading

it appears the reviews below that are promotional are all misleading and oddly enough or mostly all five stars. I'll give you an honest review because I bought two of them they are not as accurate as they claim some are and some aren't. I purchased two side by side and one's less accurate than the other neither one of them are accurate when it comes to water it's off by about 5° compared to a traditional thermometer. watch those reviews that are promotional they're probably computer generated. would I recommend this product I'm going to mark no but I need more time with it but I would say buyer beware keep your receipt. unfortunately it won't let me upload the photo

Nice and light. Does a great job on the outdoor grill.Also while you sit while the food is cooking,you can use it to use the cat!

Battery life is solid—it lasts through multiple uses without draining fast. Accuracy is decent for everyday use, though it can be inconsistent when switching between surfaces or ambient readings. My fiancé actually uses it both in the kitchen for checking pan temps and in HVAC work, so it’s versatile, but not ultra-precise. It’s super portable and lightweight, which makes it easy to grab and go, but the build feels a bit cheap and might not hold up to rough use. Great for casual or household use—not ideal if you need pro-level performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] perfect for the summer as we’ve been grilling a lot! Easy to use and now I don’t need to guess my meat temperatures anymore! Also love the size and that it’s portable so I can take it with me to camping and other barbecues!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thermometer was lightweight and easy to use. I used it with my pizza oven to make sure we were up to the correct temperature and it worked like a charm! It runs off of AAA batteries so easy to switch out as needed. I wasn’t able to verify the accuracy of the temperature but otherwise I was very pleased with this thermometer.
