Q: Does this get hot enough to sear steaks? In the 500°f range?
2 months ago- A: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the Master Chef Grill Turismo 2 Burner Portable Gas Griddle can easily reach temperatures upwards of +550F when preheated on MAX. The Hot-Rolled steel Griddle surface has excellent heat retention. For this reason, griddle surfaces tend to cook/sear food much faster than a regular cooking grates so we recommended users start at lower settings and increase the temperature gradually, rather than starting at a max and trying to work backwards.
