I love this thing. Had it for about a year now and it's great for a family of two or three. Only had one issue with it was the bottom part of the bbq side had a broken weld during shipping. It's still works but the lid wobbles more.

low quality for high price.

Unfortunately just finished assembling and already regretting the purchase. Enamel coating on the lid very crunchy and chipped/chipping/flaking off in a few spots already before I even got it out of the box. Lid sides are bent in and sound disgusting rubbing on mount for the small upper grill.
Small brackets and such are much better quality, thicket coating and thicker metal than the lids are.
Frame is a bit flimsy and bolts are all low grade, strip with minimal torque. also alot of threaded rivets which may become an issue down the road in my experience.
Wheeled it right into the garage for now and didn't even fire it up yet due to the depression/regrets it caused.... I would not consider buying this unless it was at a minimum 50% off which i unfortunately bought at full price.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can you use metal utensils on the griddle top or is there a "non-stick" coating that won't be acceptable for use with metals tools?

- A: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, metal tools can be used on the Master Chef GT Griddle Top. Protective seasoning will need to be applied regularly. Seasoning your griddle top is required before and after EVERY cook. Seasoning your griddle top improves the cooking performance, creates a non-stick surface, prevents damage, and deterioration due to moisture, and extends the life of your griddle. That being said, metal tools are great to use on the griddle top, but you will want to avoid using soap on the griddle top as that will destroy the seasoning. Hope this helps!10 months agoHelpful?
