You can use it to charge your phone, tablet and any other electronic devices that have built-in converters. Europe uses different voltage so in order to use travel accessories like travel hair dryer, travel iron etc., you would need to have a converter as well. If that's the case, may I suggest Maple Leaf International Universal Travel Adapter Plug and 220V to 110V Power Converter - Canadian Tire Item # 076-1905-2. Thank you.

A: We take devices that work at both 110/220, such as laptops & cell phones, so do not need to convert the power. Check your devices to make sure they work at both voltages, otherwise you need a converter.

A: Hello. If I don't know what is the exact brand and product you had purchased, unfortunately I can't help. My suggestion is to return the product back to Canadian Tire; by the sounds of it the unit may be damaged, as I have never heard of this issue before. I apologize I can't help any further. A: I have this adapter. I have travelled to Thailand and Vietnam. This adapter works well for both countries. I cannot answer your question about the curling iron but power in both countries is 110.

Then depending on what country you require to use the adaptor at (USA or AUS), using your hands gently move the metal plates to the proper position. Thank you.
