Despite a previous comment, these are a slightly different hardware pellet compared to Canawick (also very good) now both the same $8.99/bag price. Another mega CT points week so I just bought 23 more bags ($207 before tax), so $15 (over $200), plus 20X, 10X + 10X pellet coupons, plus 20X for Vermont Castings Select partner, that gave me a total of $85 back in CT points! So a good supply in the garage (on pallets) heading into next winter heating season (and the tail end of this one).

Yes, I recommend this product.

A: Vermont Castings Premium Hardwood Heating Pellets are intended for use in Pellet Stoves and Pellet Heaters. They are not intended for Cooking, Grilling or Smoking. Canadian Tire does carry many flavours of Vermont Castings Grilling Wood Pellets which are intended for Pellet Smokers with flavours such as Maple (Canadian Tire product number: 085-3785), Hickory (085-2389), Misquite (085-3786), Apple (085-2390), Cherry (085-3784), and Competition Blend (085-2391)
