No good

a month ago

Did not work sitting on wet basement floor where the floor drain was backing up. Put water on kitchen counter and placed unit in puddle and no alarm. Placed unit in a bowl and slowly filled with water. Alarm only sounded if the full bottom of the unit is SUBMERGED in water. If water in basement got that high it would have ruined the drywall and gone into other rooms before alarm notified us. Shaved off the pieces of plastic on bottom hoping it would lower the unit to the floor and still won’t work unless submerged.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This is an Easy to Install Battery Powered Sensor and I used the extension cable to detect water overflow before it enters the basement floor level! I also use one around the Hot Water Heater Too::))

Works well. 6ft remote sensor is nice as sensor can be place near water source while unit can be mounted for easy access to battery change. The one thing that would be nice is if it could be made so that the unit has sensors as well as the remote sensor so that it could then detect water in two locations with one unit. As well , a means of mounted remote sensor would be nice. Eg . Double sided tape etc.

Q: I have a waterlinewateralarm, which recently deteted a water problem (very good). It would not quit beeping until I dismantled it an let it dry out. I have installed a new battery but it does not let me do a test. Does this mean that the product no good

A: I’ve used two of these systems for quite a while now. I have never experienced an issue like this, and would suggest that your alarm is faulty.
