Very soft plastic. If you sit on the lid it flexes enough that you feel like you’re ou are falling in.

The price is good, but the product is just okay. You can’t sit on the lid without it collapsing and then rebounding with a “pop” when you stand up. As an older person, this is a very real consideration for putting on socks, etc. a toilet lid that doesn’t let me sit on it is not worth the money to me. It’s so thin that light actually passes through it (opaque). I don’t hate it, but I’m not impressed. I expect it to break before too long.

Q: Anyone notice the seat flexed when you sit on it? I noticed that the rear two seat supports do not touch the rim? Anyone else have the same issue?

A: The seat does flex and sinks, but explodes like a cannon later. Still in one piece. Loose at the back attachments. I'd buy a heavier duty one next time.

Q: Is the seat removable for cleaning without removing hardware?

A: NO. And it makes a loud squeaking noise when lifting it up and putting it down. I sprayed 3 n 1 oil on moving parts and replaced plastic screws with metal ones, and it's still squeaking. I wouldn't buy it again.

A: Not totally flat, the lid is slightly rounded. The plastic isn’t strong enough to bear much weight.
