    Very disappointing.

    The first thing the instructions say is to remove the nut that secures the handle to the tank. It would not loosen at all. I tried using a pair of pliers to loosen it and it did but the nut just turned and turned. It never loosened. The nut would turn with the pliers but the nut did not come off.

    The locknuts on tank levers are reverse threaded so ensure that the nut is being rotated against the arrows that are engraved on the nut. If it was turned with the arrows then it tightens it and the nut is no longer on the threads. Fluidmaster would like the opportunity to learn more and provide help.     A Perfect Fit Handle

    The new handle replaces the Kohler original which was beginning to corrode. This handle is identical to others I have installed in previous homes - I come back to Fluidmaster because their products are well designed, generally excellent, adaptable, and easy to install. I wish the Canadian market had the variety available to US customers!

    Overall, it did what it was supposed to do. The instructions on the back were clear. There were only two concerns: 1. The handle and lever are already assembled in the packaging. In order to put it through the hole and reconnect it, they have to be separated. They are connected with a plastic assembly which requires a bit of force to uncouple, and there was some worry about breaking it during separation. Once separated, the rest was pretty straightforward. 2. The square plastic protrusion which inserts into the hole in the tank did not fit 100%. I would say this is a problem with the trueness of the opening in the tank, rather than with the product, so no points deducted. However, it may cause concern for some users. In my case, it fit well enough that I was able to get the nut about 2 threads deep, which was sufficient for function.
