3 elements failed in 3 tanks within 8 months

This element was installed in 3 different 60 gallon hot water tanks during the past 8 months. The specifications were correct for the tanks; the thermostats were set to 125 degrees F. Tanks were full when powered up. Tank#1 element popped after 5 minutes. After 1 month tank#2 element failed with no apparent damage but zero resistance (should be 13 ohms). Tank#3 element failed the same way after 5 months. Different tanks, different water, same elements. These are faulty. Do not buy!

It only worked for like a week. And when I replaced it again the old one was intact and seemed like it should be fine but was not reading any ohm resistance and no connectivity. Must of had a broken wire inside. I was using it on 180 degree high limit thermostats. So maybe don’t do that but I never had a problem with most makes. All of a sudden Canadian tire has this Eastman with a blue base and it made me think it would be better quality but it seems worse.
No, I do not recommend this product.
