The Champion Power Equipment 100166 1-Inch Gas-Powered Water Transfer Pump with Hose Kit comes with everything you need to start pumping (just add oil and gas). Your complete hose kit includes a 16-foot intake hose, a 26-foot discharge hose, an intake strainer, straight and 90° hose connectors and hose clamps. All you need to do is add oil and gas to get your pump up and running. Whether you are draining or refilling your swimming pool or hot tub, removing water from your basement or draining shallow flooded areas, this unit features a self-priming design that holds prime even when it’s not running (requires initial priming to operate). Powered by Champion’s reliable 31cc single-cylinder OHV engine, this lightweight and portable transfer pump has a maximum delivery volume of 30 gallons per minute. With a 1-inch inlet and 1-inch outlet, this unit has a total head of 95 feet and a suction head of 16 feet. Designed with a 0.1-gallon fuel tank and a 0.7-quart oil capacity (recommended 10W-30), will provide the power you need to move water with confidence and efficiency. No return Leaks significantly Europe BSF threading

Warning, this pump leaks significantly from both inlet to outlet and due to the cheap plastic bsf (British Standard) pipe threads they used, you won't be able to find alternate parts in North America. This pump was manufactured to be sold in Europe, meaning you won't be able to find alternate fittings for this unit aside from the cheap plastic nonsense they come with. Despite Canadian Tire and Champion knowing this, they continually sell due to Canadian Tire's poor return policy. Once you use the item they will not return it no matter what. And that's the other warning, whatever you do, do not buy this from Canadian Tire, they will not let you return it (they only have good return policies on their store brand Mastercraft) and gaslight you to chase the manufacturer who will only send you the same plastic bsp parts. The leaking product never gets addressed.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Pump not working out of the box

Purchased this item last week, set up to use immediately and the pump will not pull any water. Reached out to the company directly day after purchase and have never received any response. Basically a defective product that I am now stuck with.

Pump works ok but leaks at fittings no matter what you do and will also cut in and out like it runs out of gas for a split second but continues to run. All in all not a bad pump for the money.

Q: I would like to use this pump to fill a 1000L tote at ny cottage with water from the lake. It would have approximately 4ft of elevation and my cottage is approximately 200ft from the lake. Would it be able to pump that far ?

A: I believe the height of lift is well within the spec. I use the pump for flooding an ice rink using a firehouse and there is plenty of pressure and flow. For the price this pump was great but adapting the fittings was the challenge for me.

Q: Can this pump be used to flush and clean a tankless water heater? Or can you suggest something else less expensive?
