Hand operated and simply designed for efficient lifting, the Certified Manual Chain Hoist is capable of lifting up to a half ton (2,205 lbs) of weight at a time. This lightweight chain hoist is compact, has low head room, and can be installed easily in your garage or shop. The weston-type load brake doesn’t need to be lubricated, and the swivel hooks with latch kits cut down on any twisting of the load chain.

I purchased this a week ago, it’s hanging from my garage shop rafters. I’m 77 and a bit hard lifting my power wascher and snow blower up on the bench to work on them. It’s a GREAT HELP , no more bending down and trying to lift heavy pieces. Well worth the price. When finished I just loop the chains up and hook them on a hook next to the chain hoist out of the way.

Q: My hoist will not lower what gear do I have to look at I got the brake discs removed but have not looked at the bearings under the break disks?
