I bought the trimmer because I already have two batteries and a charger from a chain saw and a lawnmower. But I returned the trimmer because a plastic hand guard was broken on it. The store had two other units but both had the same problem. So, I asked for a refund.

half decent trimmer

I actually really like this trimmer it's a really good price the quality is great I like how the handle adjusts so you're not twisting your wrist to trim, I think it's worth it for the money considering the Stihl version of this trimmer is worth over $800 but my biggest downfall is the weight it's such a heavy trimmer I don't think i will be using it for work, probably just sit in my collection until I feel like using it for a random trim job, I think it's great for a very strong home owner that doesn't get bothered by weight, I think it's more worth it to get the mastercraft trimmer with the smaller battery due to it's weight distribution.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not For Me!

a year ago

Received the cordless hedge trimmer as a gift and had to return it. It is huge and even without the lithium battery (purchased separately) way too heavy for me to trim hedges! I just can not picture me with this monster over my head as I attempt to trim my 6' evergreen border - I'd need to have an ambulance on speed dial!

Q: Will the 48V- 5Ah battery ( from the yardworks 21inch snowblower ) work in this unit?

A: Hello April, thank you for your question. Yes, these batteries will be able to work in your hedge trimmer. The Amp Hours will change your run time but will not affect the amount of power being pushed in the tool as the voltage stays the same. Thank you for choosing Yardworks!
