Really blows!

Three winters now with my Ego snowblower. It has been money well spent.. my favourite feature is the chute rotation handle, this handle is chunky and feels good in your hand and the chute rotates easily. on a slope driveway it does take quite a bit of an effort sometimes to come up but with cleats on my boots, it’s a good workout for the legs. On flat surfaces, no trouble easy to push and unless the snow is real deep. The only negative thing I could say would be that if the snow is too damp, it does not work well that way, but we do not often get that type of snow. It’s usually nice and dry and I know for sure I’ve had it shoot snow as far as 35 feet.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Stopped working on third use

When it worked, the snowblower performed well, it had good throwing distance and solid power. We have a four-car driveway, and it was well-suited for that size. However, on the third use, less than 30 days after purchase, it completely stopped working. It appeared the circuit board had failed: nothing powered on, no lights, and it wouldn’t start, despite fully charged batteries. To their credit, Canadian Tire accepted the return. That said, I wouldn’t purchase this model again given the reliability concerns.

Fluff? Yes. Wet? Nooo

Dry snow: this little guy rips. Impressive for the size & cost. I can do my 3 car drive quicker than I think, and that happens every time. Wet snow: KRYPTONITE!! I knew it was coming, but this little guy had trouble with about 8” of wetter snow. And it’s got no chance against the wet snow the plow leaves at the end of the driveway. Had to chop that up with a shovel and spread out to then go have some more snowblower fun 😉 Overall, I’m impressed with this model but I’m also looking to upgrade for a bit more power. Folds up pretty small for convenient storage. Super easy to operate.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: EGO says that the best batteries to use are the 4.0Ah EGO 56V Arc Lithium batteries or with two EGO 56V Arc-Lithium batteries of greater capacity. Are these the batteries that come with the unit or are different, lesser batteries included?

A: Hello, For optimal performance on the snow blower we would recommend at least the 4.0 Ah batteries, however the snow blower can be operated with any size EGO batteries and the larger batteries will provide more run time. Thank you for your inquiry!

Q: Does the snowblower deplete one full battery first, then the second battery...or are both batteries depleted at the same time? Can different sized 56v batteries (eg, 7.5ah and 4ah) be used together in the snowblower?

A: Hi there! We recommend the use of two batteries working simultaneously. This is helpful in attaining the peak power of the snow blower. For best performance, we recommend use with two 4.0Ah EGO 56V Arc Lithium batteries or with two EGO 56V Arc-Lithium batteries of greater capacity.
