Good Riddance to Slugs

Great product for ridding the garden of slugs. I have a shade garden with hostas and liguaria and even though I don't see them, there is evidence of slugs by the holes in the leaves of my plants. This product is spread around the bottom and my plants don't suffer further damage.

After a devastating loss to slugs eating dahlia shoots, there is now visible growth since applying Slug B Gon. Appears to be working! I've been adding more after each heavy rainfall.

You’ll have regrets with this product. Because instead of slugs you’ll have rats in the masses. As it turns out, rats love the flavour of these. They chewed threes the bag on my deck and took up residence underneath it where I sprinkled these. DO NOT use these if you have mice or rats in the area.

No, I do not recommend this product.

  • A: I'm not sure. I ever only use it on tomatoes and squash and it works really great. I suspect if you see slugs and snails it will just work the same

  • A: I found this information: “ Safe, non-toxic to people, pets, children, birds, insects, earthworms, and other wildlife. Iron phosphate is a naturally occurring soil compound that will naturally degrade and become part of the soil if uneaten (after all the slugs and snails are gone). Avoid direct applications to ponds, streams, lakes and other bodies of water.”

Q:  My hostas had a lot of slugs this summer would it be advisable to use this in the fall to get rid of the slugs  so there are not so many in the spring?
