Convenient and would work well however...

Our landscape would love the spikes except that a critter liked them also and dug up all twenty of them in the night and took some away ... hope they don't taste good Mr Racoon or what ever you are . Guess a deeper bury may help.

I've used these spikes before and happy with the results. The only thing different this time was there wasn't any of the plastic discs to use to tap the spikes into the ground. They worked much better than tapping the spikes in the ground with out the plastic pieces.

Q: Hi, Is this good for 2 year old box wood shrubs?

  • A: Hi, Since Boxwoods are evergreens, I would suggest the Miracle Gro Evergreen spikes, which are similar but have a slightly different N-P-P formula. If you already have the Tree & Shrub product on hand, go ahead and use it as it will still be effective. I have used both varieties for years, in the early Spring and late Fall snd found their sustained-release formulation works very well. I hope this helps.
