Q: Is this appropriate to use in flower beds with mulch. I have hydrangeas and echinacea flowers. Would I simply shake the fertilizer over the mulch?

A: I use the Miracle Gro shaker slow release fertilizer for exactly this purpose! My gardens are mulched and I shake the fertilizer over each of my newly sprouting Annabelle hydrangeas, sedums, day lilies and dwarf burning bushes. I always have great results!
