Great performance.

So far we are very happy with it and how it’s made. The first one we bought was a Mastercraft Maximum and it broke the first use which was planing a 2x2. We returned it and bought the Dewalt and very impressed with how it’s made. We haven’t used it a lot yet but are pleased with the performance so far.

Je suis une personne de 68 ans qui aime travailler le bois. Je n'ai pas d'atelier. Cet outil est trop pesant pour être transporté à tout moment. Trop bruyant pour être utilisé à l'extérieur. Le manufacturier devrait aviser que cet outil dépasse les normes permises de décibels permis par Longueuil.

Great finish. Only problem is blades are v soft. Nicked a stole in fresh 2x4” and damaged the blades. They are recess le but pricy to replace.

We’ve been using this thickness planer on black walnut and maple for a staircase and then using offcuts to assemble cutting boards with beautiful results. The planer leaves a perfectly smooth finish, ready for oiling.
