Not strong enough to remove a lug nut

I bought this impact gun last week and now wish I had bought the 3/8 version. I thought this gun would remove lug nuts and I could reduce it to use 3/8 sockets and have a tool that could do both. Unfortunately this impact cannot remove lug nuts torqued to 100 ft/lbs. So now I have a 1/2 impact that cannot remove a lug nut and I have to use adapters on. Disappointed.

No, I do not recommend this product.

While this impact wrench is designed to handle many automotive fastening tasks, actual lug nut removal can vary depending on factors such as battery charge level, wheel corrosion, over-torquing from previous service, the type of socket being used, and how long the fastener has been in place.
If you haven't already, it may be worth ensuring the battery is fully charged, the tool is set to its highest speed setting, and an impact-rated socket is being used before attempting removal. In some cases, lug nuts originally tightened to 100 ft-lbs may require significantly more force to break loose.

Fake spec's, claim 200lb/ft, measures 118! I own a engineering firm, we have a meter, purchase these for my race team, cause damage a lot. Lower jnon "maximum" model that claims 190, measure 173.... Good enough.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Rusted, corroded, or over-torqued nuts and bolts may require significantly more breakaway torque than standard fasteners and, in some cases, additional methods may be needed to loosen them.

Q: Why is there a hole in the anvil for a detent ball/pin when the anvil has a friction ring?

A: Persobally I like having this option, not many manufacturers offer it. Say you are only going to use this impact with a certain size socket, you can slip a pin thru it along with the o-ring retainer and never have to worry about it coming off OR where the socket went to when you pick up the tool. Its just added retention, I'm a fan.

Q: Why do you put the specs for this particular impact wrench in inch-pounds when almost all your other impact wrenches are listed in foot-pounds? Seems kind deceptive. Please be more consistent in future please.

A: There is a mistake in the specifications. The torque is actually 200 ft lb, not 200 in lb. Blame whoever wrote up the spec sheet for cdn tire.

Q: I love this impact wrench, but the friction bearing that holds the sockets on has always been loose. Having used this wrench for over a year now, the sockets do not stay on at all anymore. Is this a replacement situation or would it be repaired?
