Bought to replace my aging drill driver and was not disappointed. The impact driver has bags of torque. Oscillating tool has lots of uses I hadn't even thought of before. When bought as a package on sale it's a steal of a deal. Two batteries make longer jobs seamless. Word to the wise .....buy it on sale to coordinate with CT'S Friday day point top up and you'll get get an extra $50 put on the card for future purchases. You just have to time it right.

The oscillating multi-tool is surprisingly powerful for a kit add-on. Great for trimming, plunge cuts, and sanding — especially useful for renovations or flooring work. The quick-change blade system is a huge plus, no hex key needed.

Q: I see that the Oscillating tool is clearly an XR model, but the driver and drill do not seem to be.... Are they ? And if not, what series are those two? Atomic ? .. I would have purchased this kit hands down this morning if all were XR

A: The Atomics models vary over time, these are found Home Depot in combo kit DCK226D2 (DCD799 and DCF809) Don't buy anything unless on sale with heathy discount. Most recent DCK226D2 was $198.00. Summit Tools is good place to check, but sales, as of late are getting better. Never get any kit with batteries less than 2Ah. The 1.3Ah are useless. If you need a 2Ah battery replacement, look for a sale on pair of 3Ah batteries with a duel fast charger. The larger ones on smaller Atomic size tools is cumbersome .
