    I have had For Living ceiling fans before and they were very dependable. I followed the instructions closely. The light works perfectly, but the fan will not turn on. I phoned the number and the only suggestions were to check the wiring. There are only three connections at the top and two connections for the lights. Now I have to find the receipt!

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    Great Basic Ceiling Fan with Lights

    This is exactly what I wanted; no remote control and it takes regular light bulbs. I bought 2. My installer had no real issues but did find his hand a bit large to screw in the light shade holder, but my hand fit it no problem.

    For Living 52" reversible fan, no remote

    Excellent fan, even better price.....it was on sale. Fairly easy to install, when you have a handyman put it up for you. It took him about 45 minutes to install it, that includes the time needed to remove the old fan that wasn’t working. It's whisper quiet and pushes the air efficiently. The only downside to this fan is that it doesn't have a remote control. But that's not a problem, as chain operated fans are very simple to operate. It also comes with a seasonal switch, one position for winter and flip the switch for the rest of the seasons. The fan blades are also reversible, there's a light coloured almost birch tree side. The other side is what I would describe as almost a cherry red colour. We chose the dark side, as the light side is just too light coloured for our liking.

    Q: Is this dimmable?

    • A: I would not connect the fan motor to a dimmer, but the lights would be fine as long as the bulbs you use are dimmer safe. The fan motor has a 3 stage switch controlled via the pull chain. If you want a dimmer for the lights, you'll need to make sure the lights, and the fan both have a separate switch.

    Q: The product specifications on the website say 40Watt bulbs. But I was in store and on the box itself it says 20 Watt (Max.) E26. What is the Wattage of bulbs this ceiling fan takes? I don't want to get stuck having to find hard to find bulbs for this.

    • A: It can take 3*20W walts bulbs together. Please pay attention to the total walts can not exceed 70W. If you want the lights to be brighter, we recomand you to use the LED bulbs with E26 plugs.
