Clean three pin switch with a led indicator.

Bought it to wire a three way connection for a bilge pump. Inbuilt LED lights up when the pump is working with float switch or if I manually turn it on. Great to see when the pump is active or shuts down especially with a loud outboard drowning out all sound.

It's a generic switch; it works

It's just a generic switch that can be used in countless applications. I had issues in the past trying to use similar looking switches that were for auto applications so were only meant to be used with 12 volts. This one may work in 12 volt applications but I would stick to the auto switches for that. This works with home power at 120 volts. I would prefer more selection of switches (such as metal ones with longer toggles that will fit this standardized size), but that doesn't take away from this particular switch.

A: This switch is rated for 16A at 125V AC or 10A at 250V AC. These ratings should also be on the back side of the package near the top. I hope this helps!

Q: What is the maximum thickness of surface you could mount the switch on? Could the switch be mounted on a 1/2 or 3/4 inch thick surface?

A: The terminals are about 3/8" long and the total depth of the base of the switch including the terminals is about 13/16".
