Product Details

Cabot's Australian Timber Oil is a one coat treatment for rejuvenating outdoor wood surfaces like decks, railings and furniture. The oil formula is designed for hardwoods such as mahogany and teak, providing three way protection that nourishes, seals and waterproofs wood. Simply apply the oil and watch as it soaks into dry wood, locking out moisture while enriching the natural colour and grain. No sanding required - just roll on and wipe away excess for a low maintenance finish that keeps decks and furniture looking their best through the seasons.

  • Three way oil protection - tung, linseed, alkyd

  • For decks, siding and railings

  • One coat application

  • Lasting UV-absorbing surface rich with colour and dimension

Awesome products

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using the timber oil on all of our wood. We have built 3 houses in the past 25 years. The first one was a log house with a log guest cabin. Second & third houses with log beams, wood ceilings, blue wood pine tongue and groove walls and cabinets. Used Cabot products for everything. We used the products also for the covered wood decking.

Yes, I recommend this product.

A good outdoor weather protection oil.

Penetrates well and lasts well as long as surface is properly prepped, ie sanded and clear of other coatings. As it wears on traffic areas on decks a re-coat works well, again properly sanded. It does not peel and maintains it's colour well. Used on IPE high density wood, cedar and fir timbers with good results.

We have had the same blotchy and uneven color experience as the other recent reviewer. We are not happy with how it turned out and not sure what to do as you say not to put on a second coat. I am wanting to try to fix it. Please advise

Thanks for leaving a review. The uneven absorption of the stain could be an indication that the wood was not uniformly porous. If a previous sealer wasn't removed or if the wood was not completely weathered, this product would soak in unevenly. • A: Thank you for taking the time to contact Cabot. The Pressure Treated wood should weather for a few months prior to applying a sealer over it. If you have any other questions, please contact us directly at 1-800-877-8246 or info@cbgbrandreview.com. Sincerely, R.C., Digital Care Team

Q: What is the difference between this product ,Cabot Australian Timber Oil exterior wood stain ,and Cabot Oil-Based Wood Toned Deck & Siding Stain?

  • A: Thank you for your question. The Cabot Australian Timber Oil and the Cabot Wood Toned Stain are not the same product. While they both have similar applications they are not the same formula. The recommendation on what to use will depend on the project. Sincerely, L.T., Digital Care Team
