Q: Doesn't Carbon Monoxide Detectors had to be at floor level?
2 months agoA: Carbon monoxide is not heavier than air. In fact it weights about 97% that or air, and thus will spread out throughout the house on air currents. Exposure over time is the bigger problem as low levels over days are as dangerous as high levels in minutes., Hence alarms are programmed to simulated the absorption rate into the human body. the best location to place an alarm is in hte open, not next to corners or behind furniture.

Q: Does it contain the conversion pigtail in the package to connect it to the previous wiring?
10 months agoA: All the new Kidde models will not work with the old wiring harness (all alamrs come with the required hardware to isntall). ULC changes June 2024 mandated a change in power supply and the engineering changed the format.

Q: Is this the Kidde 30CUAR-VCA model? It would help if Canadian Tire would post the manufacturer's model number so I can determine compatibility with my system.
