Lasted 4 months & no warranty because bought from secondary supplier sealed box Halo Wifi version Will not do a factory reset so they want me to buy whole new system instead of a control board

Auto-Unlock not working as advertised.

I’ve been using the Weiser Halo Smart Lock for about six months, and it has been an abysmal experience. I bought this lock primarily for the Auto‑Unlock geofencing feature, and it is poorly designed and unreliable. The geofence map constantly resets when trying to move or resize it. Sometimes auto‑unlock works, sometimes it doesn’t — meaning you never know whether the door will open or leave you awkwardly standing there with your hands full. Battery life has been another major issue. Like many others, I’m experiencing severe battery drain, despite: a perfectly aligned door following every troubleshooting step replacing batteries repeatedly For a lock that costs $400–$500, this level of reliability is unacceptable. Ironically, a $50 basic Weiser lock has been far more dependable. At this point, I’m looking to sell this lock and replace it entirely. Do not waste your money. Be wary of 5 stars review... All users having received a free product.

Terrible battery life

So disappointed in the battery life. Have only had the lock for 2 months and already had to replace the batteries 3 times. I will just have to use the key cause at this rate it will be too expensive to use properly

Keypad unusable when setup on Thread

I've had the lock installed and setup with Matter via Thread for several months and while I can unlock and lock the door via my smart home, nothing else works. Weiser has intentionally disabled all features of the touch pad when setup with Thread, you can't even press the lock button! This is clearly to push people to use the WiFi setup so Weiser can harvest data on their customers. I'm very disappointed with this purchase and Weisers malicious support for Thread connectivity. Don't buy those lock if you are looking for a Thread device.

When setting up your Halo lock via Matter, the Weiser App will display a pop-up message to let you know about any changes to available features while in the Matter state. To make sure your Access Codes work properly, we do recommend programming them using the Weiser App before connecting to Matter. Rest assured, there will be more Matter features available in the future as our Matter partners update their feature offerings.
