Terrible experience

I ordered a product online and picked it up from the store’s locker, only to find it was an open-box item with scratches and missing bolts. I had to waste more time and money driving back the same day to return it. There was no replacement available, and Canadian Tire offered zero compensation for my time or gas. The Schlage product itself might be fine, but Canadian Tire’s service was absolutely unacceptable. Terrible customer experience.

Neither worked

I bought 2of these. Both were defective. One received no power despite reinstalling it and switching out batteries. The other kept giving a jammed lock error and wouldn't open electronically (but would with the key) and kept losing connection to wifi. It also went through batteries in just a few hours. Doing a factory reset etc didn't work. I was going to try another 2 but the customer service lady told me she takes lots of returns on these. So I went with a newer version of a different brand I have used before with no issues. Ok it's not a smart lock, but at least they work and saved me over $400! I will say however, that the materials do feel and look good quality, just a shame the electronic parts don't work.

No, I do not recommend this product.

A: There is an auto-lock feature that is set to lock approximately thirty seconds. Once you have the lock installed and connected to a smart phone, you can then customize how long you want the auto-lock feature to wait before it locks behind you.

Q: My question is regarding the Schlage Encode Century Smart Deadbolt, Matte Black- how to you get the key pad to stay illuminated. Right now I have to touch it just the right way to get the key pad to light up. I want it to stay lite. Any suggestions?
