Haven`t used it yet but i`m confidant its a good product .Same company that makes Craftmans opener & mine still going after 30 years , we use it a lot to let the dogs out it run over & over & over just change 2 boken springs & 1 gear on top of opener that twisted up 20$ & 4 bolt easy access to remove & voila just no problem .I also change my steel rollers for nylon 2 months ago it help a lot almost no noise but the opener it self is bullet proof. same company makes lift master - Chamberline & craftman . plus i got this one on sale almost same price than my 30 year old one .

Q: I’d like to replace an old 1993 Craftsman garage door open with this one. Do I need to replace the rail etc or can I just attach it to the existing rail and chain that is there already?

A: Although your new garage door opener may appear similar in design to your old opener, our recommendation is that you replace the entire opener. This includes mounting hardware, rails, wired door controls and wireless remote devices.

Q: It's been 2 months since I bought it, when I program the Travel, I keep getting an error sound. As the manual says, if you press the Adjustment and up, adjustment, down, and adjustment buttons, the up button blinks again and the door opens again.

A: A double door should open as easily as a single door if the springs are set right. I purchased one of these openers and was so pleased I bought a second one for my other garage door. East to install, the remote has good range. You should have no problem using this opener.
