Q: Does the Chamberlain Wall-Mount Ultra-Quiet Garage Door Opener with WiFi #046-5698-0 have an emergency release on the outside of the garage for people that don't have a second entrance?

A: The unit does not come with an emergency release on the outside of the garage but you can add the Quick Release mechanism which is installed on the outside of the garage door, model 7702CB-P Quick Release. Q: What is the difference between this model (RJO101) and RJO101-Cam as the cam one seems to be cheaper and it includes a camera.

A: This model includes the battery backup. There seem to be a bunch of similar models with slightly different package contents/features but they're all roughly the same. I've had one installed for over a year now and mine had no backup battery, slightly different wall controller, a separate MyQ wifi box, and the older tension sensor. Changes to what's included in the box, the side-mount opener works well and is significantly quieter than the old ceiling mount.

Q: What is the minimum space needed from the garage door frame to a wall for this unit to fit? Does the clamp shaft on the unit to the bar connection come apart to reduce the amount of space to install?

A: Minimum 10 inches. Clamp shaft will not come apart. Motor can be put on either left or right side of door.

Q: I bought model rjo20c garage opener, with wifi and the myQ gateway network hardware . the myQ app is asking for a 10 digit serial number, but my opener has 12 digit… anyone else have this issue? Chamberlain support said I need a smart garage controlle

A: I had an issue with my opener and I phoned the company and spoke with a human. He was incredibly helpful and solved my problem in about 12 seconds! I’d recommend that if you haven’t phoned.
