George Foreman Evolve Grill with Slider Plate & Ceramic Grill

I've had the grill for about 3 weeks and it is performing well. The grill cooks well and it's easy avoid burning food. You can cook straight from the fridge or freezer with great results. I find that the hinge makes it feel like the grill is broken when opened or closed, but that's just something to get used to. There is a feature that allows you to tilt the grill surface to better drain grease while cooking. The tilt feature is a good feature, but it tilts too far and the food actually slides off the grill onto the counter when you open it to check the cooking progress. I would appreciate if the grill actually turned off when the power button was pressed. The display continues to be illuminated, meaning you have to unplug the grill whenever not in use. It would be so much more convenient if it could be left plugged into the electric outlet. All-in-all this is a quality grill with great features and simple, accurate and efficient controls and it does the job well. With a few design tweaks this would be an outstanding grill. I don't know how well the grill will stand up, but based on my old grill, it should last for years. We'll see.

Bought this 2 or 3 years ago. It started out ok, but now, despite still looking new, the non stick is not. I have been very carefull in looking after the plates and very gently cleaned it. Now if you try to cook anything lean, the food sticks badly and mostly to the top plate, resulting in shredded meat stuck to the top plate. Even when trying to spray with oil first, chicken, salmon and turkey burgers end up shredded and destroyed.
