This vacuum replaced my old irobot.
It is definitely more systematic in its approach and much more self sufficient. The self cleaning option is also very much appreciated.
Noise level is reasonable.
Good price which I got on clearance.

Good but not great

overall OK but there is some flaws.
It replace my shark IQ robot that lasted 4.5 years, it's very fast to map the rooms, do a better cleaning but not as good near wall and objects than my previous one, it's faster but a bit louder.
It never lost itself like the IQ not knowing where to go to go back to the base.
I like that I don't need to buy cleaning bags for the base, mean it cheaper to operate.
I hate that I can't program specific rooms cleaning in the program, It's every room or nowhere. I contacted shark customer service for that and the answer is to buy a more expensive robot for this option. It just show me how greedy they are, it have nothing to do with the robot it's in the programming of their app.
It's long to recharge with a battery that didn't last has long as I was expecting.

Vacuum is ok, Shark warranty is excellent!

Second one in a year. Last one had constant bumper error after about 7 months of use. The only work around was to delete vacuum from app, drain the battery to zero, recharge then re-map the house. That would last a few days and the error would return.
Fortunately the warranty came through & we are starting with a new one. I am giving this product 4 stars only because Shark has an excellent no hassle warranty.

- A: No, however, you then have to push the clean button on the vacuum every time you want it to clean. If you do connect it to WiFi, it will give you a cleaning schedule, map areas (so that you can send it to a specific area only to clean if need be). And the app will give you a better idea if there is error messages and what they mean.3 years agoHelpful?

- A: Yes and no. If you want to set up a schedule or have the vacuum map out your space, you will need either a cell or a tablet to download the Shark app. BUT you can just manually start it on the vacuum. If I were you, I'd look at a cheaper model if you don't intend on using the app controlled features3 years agoHelpful?

Q: Does this support muti floor cleaning? I mean keep the base on main floor and use it on all other floors, it will map rooms as belonging to basement, main floor and top floor, so that i do not need different robots for different floors?

Q: Does this vacuum detect animal "accidents"? I had a robot vacuum years ago, and although my dog very rarely had accidents, it did NOT detect it. Now I'm paranoid.

- A: No, it does not. The obstacles have to be certain height before it will detect it as an obstacle otherwise it will try to overcome it by rolling over it from different angles.4 years agoHelpful?
