Disappointed from the first slice. If a toaster is made with long slots for wider bread, then it should have toasting elements ALL the way across. This one lacks toasting elements in the center, leaving the center of the bread unevenly toasted.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Actually bought the 2 slice, but don't see it for sale anymore. Cooks almost even on both sides, but there's always a difference. AND, SLOWWW to toast. I could take the slice of bread to the beach and suntan it quicker. Drives me crazy.
