Good Extra!

I bought an extra heater the I moved into a retirement village. A heat pump does a good job in the living areas but the bedrooms missed out somewhat and the heater was just what I needed to boost the heat there in winter. I have also used the cooling fan occasionally and am very happy with its quiet performance. The design makes it easy and light-wight to move, an important consideration for an older person.

I bought it for the winter and the heating part was excellent, now in the summer the cooling part is just as good.

We only buy Dyson

Have only used for heating so far. We have a larger version for cooling, we also have 2 Dyson vacuum stick cleaners, best products on the market.

A: It has quite efficient cooling fan for a medium size to small size rooms, but I doubt it be helpful for larger rooms specially during day time. You may need a more powerful fan with cooling system. However it should be more useful for night time during summer heat as well.

A: Hello Jamie, this is Kelly with Dyson. The surface area that the Dyson Hot + Cool™ Heater & Fan can cover would really depend on a number of factors, such as existing room temperature, how many windows and doors there are, and how warm you currently have the room temperature set. You should find that it does heat well in smaller areas, and may not heat a whole apartment, just depending again on doors, windows, etc. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

Our Pure Hot + Cool has 1575 watts in Max heat and 44 watts in the cool mode. Our Dyson heaters are equipped with internal thermostat, once the desired temperature is reached the machine will go into a stalling mode to save energy. We hope this proves useful.
