Put in 3/4 cup of rice and filled the water level as in the instructions. I added in some veggies to steam. This amount of rice according to the manual should take about 20 minutes. The rice cooker took about 40 mins to complete and the rice was stuck to the bottom of the cooker.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Yes definitely. That is mainly what we use it for. The vegetables taste so much better when steamed. They aren't mushy or raw.

While using the rice cooker you will want to use the measuring cup that came with the unit to measure how much you want to make. For example, if you wanted to make 3 cups of rice, you will want to use 3 rice measures (the measuring cup of the rice cooker), and then fill water up to the three cup mark in the cooking pot.
