Not a good product

Had to return it. Does not allow more coffee than exactly the amount of coffee than what you want to brew. Then, when it brews, the steam goes back into where the beans are held and makes it all damp so you can't brew another pot.

Q: how long does it stay on for? does it have a self clean its self?

A: The element under the glass carafe stays on for two hours and keeps the coffee very warm. It plays a short tone before shutting off. It does not have any self-clean functions. In addition to replacing/cleaning the filter and rinsing the carafe, the grinder needs to be rinsed/cleaned after each use.
